Who we are
We believe health is more than the absence of disease. To be healthy people should have energy, vitality, and a joy of living each day.
We believe that health is more than a physical attribute, for what good is a physically sound body if you don’t have the spirit to rise out of bed in the morning? So we include a sense of mental and spiritual well-being in our definition of health.
We believe there must be economic health, for people need meaningful work and a strong economic climate to support the families and individuals of the community.
We believe health for a community must include a clean environment. Studies show a higher quality of life in places with clean, sparkling waters, fresh air, trees and parks, and a connection with nature.
And health must include community. We must work together with our neighbors, our friends, and our families to enrich our lives with the values of a healthy community.
