Healthy Communities of Henry County; Raintree Trails

Raintree Trails Rules

Following is the code of conduct for individual users of the trails.

  1. Prohibited Uses of the Trail: Motorized vehicles, including snowmobiles and ATV’s, are prohibited from use on the trails, except for vehicles belonging to or authorized by Healthy Communities, which will be appropriately identified, or for emergency vehicles. Fires, for any purpose, and hunting from the trails or from other property managed by Healthy Communities of Henry County is strictly prohibited and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Equestrian use is currently prohibited.
  2. Be Courteous: This is a multi-user trails system. All trail users should be respectful of other users, regardless of their mode of travel, speed, or level of skill. Maintain a safe and controlled speed at all times. Be especially alert to users with special needs.
  3. Show Respect: Respect the privacy of adjacent landowners and do not enter their property for any purpose. Please don’t pick or disturb native plants and wildflowers that grow along the trails. Graffiti or damage to trail property costs money to repair and those responsible for defacing or damaging trail property will be prosecuted.
  4. Obey Signage: Always stop for traffic at roadways and intersections! When entering or crossing the trail at trailhead or other uncontrolled intersections, yield to traffic already using the trail.
  5. Adhere to Trail Hours: Hours of operation were established for a reason: SAFETY! The trails are open dawn to dusk, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Use after hours is prohibited.
  6. Be Alert: Do not use any trail while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  7. Keep to the Right and Pass on the Left: Always stay to the right as you use the trails. Pass others going in your direction on their left. Look ahead and behind to make sure that your lane is clear before you go out and around the other users.
  8. Do not Block the Trail: When in a group, including your pets, use not more than half the trail width, so as not to block the flow of other users.
  9. Clean up Your Litter: Please keep the trails clean and neat for other users to enjoy. Please clean up after your pets. Pick up whatever someone else may have left on the trails.
  10. Keep Pets on Leashes: All pets must be kept on short, secure and tethered leashes at all times. Keep pets under your immediate control and off of adjacent private property.

Users of the trail do so at their own risk!
