Chicagoland Area Extreme Athletes Teach Kids Bike Safety and Drug Prevention at Local Schools

The nationally acclaimed stunt team, High Action Bikes, delivered important messages about bicycle safety and drug awareness at the New Castle Middle School on November 25. They also performed a high-energy half-time show at the New Castle/Blue River basketball game that evening.

High Action Bikes is a team of highly skilled drug free bmx athletes performing amazing stunts. Team owner, Tom Rokowsz, has been performing bike safety, drug awareness programs for schools nationwide since 1991. These extreme athletes grab the students' attention while spinning, gliding, rolling and jumping though the air. Their 45 minute program at the Middle School focuses on the importance of wearing a bicycle helmet, rules of the road, properly maintaining a bicycle, and resisting drugs and peer pressure. High Action Bikes lets kids know that the keys to success in life are hard work, dedication and leading a drug free life.

This program was sponsored by Healthy Communities Skatepark Committee, The Henry County Health Department, Crimestoppers, and ARIES.
