Tree Planting Gets Under Way

April 10, 2003, marked the beginning of this year’s tree-planting effort. By the end of Spring, we hope to have over 1000 new trees in Henry County. This first tree planting took place at the Wilbur Wright Birthplace near Millville, Indiana. We commemorated the 100th Anniversary of Flight and the 10th Anniversary of Healthy Communities of Henry County by planting a tulip tree, the state tree of Indiana. The tree was sponsored (and planted) by the Liberty Bells 4-H Club.
