2nd Annual Treading for Trails 5k Run/Walk, Summer 2010 (date to be announced)
We had a great event last year, (see the 2009 description and results) and plan to hold the event again this year.

10th Annual Raintree Ride, Fall 2010 (date to be announced)
Raintree Ride (f.k.a. Stride & Ride) is a family-friendly event with an activity for all. Bike rides of 6. 30, and 62 miles are offered. All proceeds go toward the development of Raintree Trails, a recreational linear system of trails and greenways in Henry County—the legendary "Raintree County." Rides begin and end in beautiful Westwood Park. The courses (new this year) were carefully measured and utilize some of the smoother and more scenic routes in Henry County. Suggestions for next year's event are welcome.
Brief Course Descriptions: view all three courses on one map

- Exit Westwood Park. Make a loop around Mt. Lawn Speedway and return to park.

- Exit Westwood Park. Pass Mt. Lawn Speedway. Continue south to Knightstown past Hoosier Gym. On to Dunreith, through Spiceland past Hoover Hall, and back to the park.

- First 22 miles follow the 30-mile route (see above). From Dunreith the route continues east on US 40 through Lewisville and Straughn, then north through New Lisbon and Millville to Wilbur Wright Birthplace. To get a full 100 kilometers you'll need to go about a mile beyond the museum, turn around and retrace your route south, then west and back to the park.
