Project Guidelines

Communication: Groups working with Healthy Communities are encouraged to take notes at their meetings and mail them to the Board President of Healthy Communities. Communication is recommended quarterly.

Budget: Every project must have a budget that includes a cost of ongoing maintenance. It must include any expenses they think they will need to promote their project and events.

Community/Family Orientation: Any project or event done under the Healthy Communities name should appeal to a broad spectrum of ages and backgrounds. Children and elderly should be welcome and comfortable at our events.

Quality: We believe in things that last. All products used by Healthy Communities and any structure that we build should be made of high-quality materials that show a sense of pride and that can last for many years.

Environmental Stewardship: We will make every effort to avoid throw away products in our events and projects since we believe our natural resources should not be casually discarded. We will strive to use recycled materials and recycle whenever possible.

Image: We will treat all people with respect at all times. We will keep a positive attitude and remember that, whatever our other goals, we have a mission to build community.
